100 Years of Experience!

It’s hard to believe, but when the numbers are added our staff has over 100 years of combined food service experience. Through a continuing passion to bring the best food products available to our area, we have all come together and created Avenue Catering.

Avenue Catering has been operating for over 5 years. It was created to fill a need; that need was great food that could be served anywhere, anytime. All of us at Avenue Catering are always up for a challenge and so we were up for the task.

Our journey has taken us from serving intimate dinners for 4 to catering events that number in the thousands. Avenue Catering is available to serve all groups, all sizes at any location in Western Washington State.

has trained for over 40 years to bring the best that the Northwest has to offer to your table. Chef Atterberry was raised in the Skagit Valley and knows how to prepare the bounty that this region offers. Chef studied under the masterful training of the most experienced Northwest chefs and has operated multiple successful area restaurants. To enhance his knowledge of seafood, Chef Atterberry studied at the University of Washington’s School of Fisheries.

Through the years Chef Robert Atterberry has won countless awards for his seafood dishes, soups and catered events. Bringing the best foods to fine flavor is Chef Atterberry’s passion.

Nick Moss, Avenue Catering

Nick Moss is an artist at the table. His exquistitely created decors have won him awards in Las Vegas and Seattle. As the Events/Special Affairs manager, Nick will create the decor to enhance your event. In past years, Nick has transformed soccer fields into fantasy worlds, Benaroya Hall into a winter wonderland and museums into dazzling dance halls. No matter where your event is being held, Nick’s talent can create your decor dream come true.

Nick graduated from the University of W. Washington with a degree in Psychology and minors in Anthropology and Spanish. Nick’s life experiences of growing up on San Juan Island and living in Argentina bring a logistical and creative expertise that you will be sure to appreciate.

Barbara Atterbury, Avenue Catering

Who knew? That a love for food, a passion for marketing and the joy of planning events would become a career? Barbara is thrilled to combine all of her passions into one career.

Barbara’s training in the food business began at the young age of fifteen. Under the training of a perfectionist, she learned the fine details of expert food service. This training has carried through in every aspect of her business.

To prepare for a career in advertising, Barbara attended one of the top ten advertising schools in the nation. While living in NW Florida, Barbara wrote, recorded and produced advertising for the Pensacola/Mobile market.

An offer that she could not refuse brought her to the Seattle where she then met her husband, and Avenue Catering’s Executive Chef, Robert Atterberry. Together the two have partnered to bring great food and exquisite events to 1,000s of people. It is the combination of passion and perfectionism that steers Barbara in her guiding of Avenue Catering.
